The “rags-to-riches” story is one that we commonly hear. It might be someone who has nothing coming into great wealth, or the ridiculed person who becomes a great king or hero. It’s a classic tale, but how often do we hear of the opposite; someone who had it all and gave it all up? Today we’re going to see Paul call us to something radically different than the normal ideas about how to live.
