Preschool

We welcome your child to Waypoint Preschool. Our preschool exists as an outreach ministry of PVPC/Waypoint Church. Waypoint Church is the second congregation of Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church. Our goal is to foster a life-long love of learning through a Godly worldview. We are committed to nurturing children to be happy, empathetic individuals who are emotionally, socially and academically prepared to transition into Kindergarten.

Our standard hours are 9:00 am until 1:15 pm. We do offer an “early bird” drop off at 8:00 am as well as an “extended hour” option until 2:15 pm for our three year olds. Our VPK and Transitional Kindergarten students days go until 2:30pm and have an extended day option to stay until 3:30pm for an additional charge.

We embrace the individuality in every child. Each staff member has been trained in appropriate social and intellectual development of preschool children. All staff have provided a national FBI background check, have been interviewed and are trained in First Aid and CPR. Each classroom will have two teachers and low child-to-adult ratios to ensure safety and opportunity for individual attention.

• 2 Year Olds – One Class of 12 children with two teachers.
• 3 Year Olds – Four Classes of 15 children with two teachers.
• 4 Year Olds (VPK) – Three Classes of 18 children with two teachers.
• Transitional Kindergarten class- One class of 15 students max. We offer a Transitional Kindergarten class for those students who have completed VPK but are not quite ready for Kindergarten in the public schools. Our class size has a max of 15 students with one Lead teacher and one Assistant teacher. It is a 5 day program with the Friday portion being STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) based.

We will be enrolling 128 children ages 2.5 through 5. Our program will operate August through May; matching the St. Johns County School District Calendar with the exception of the first and last weeks of school.  For enrollment, priority is given to our already enrolled students for this school year. Once those spots are filled, priority goes to alumni siblings. If we have open spots after that, we move onto our wait list. Church membership is not a requirement. Promisetown does not discriminate regardless of race, creed, color, national origin or disability.

We currently offer Soccer shots for 3-5 year olds after normal drop off times every Wednesday in our sactuary.

Every summer we offer 6 weeks of summer camps with different themes each week.
