  • One of the main jobs of a shepherd is actually to protect the sheep.
    • 1 Samuel 17:34-37

They belonged to me only by virtue of the fact that I paid for them. It was money earned by blood, sweat and tears. I was buying them literally with my own body which had been laid down with this day in mind. Because of this I felt in a special was that they were in very truth a part of me and I a part of them. This made them exceedingly precious to me. - Philip Keller, shepherd

  • In the resurrection Jesus officially declares that Satan, sin and death have no claim on the believer that is resting in Christ!

No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow’r of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow’r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow’r of Christ I’ll stand.” -
