Jesus Before Pilate

Today, as we read of Jesus’ trial, we’ll see how Jesus didn’t meet the expectations of those who encountered him. This will lead Jesus to the cross. Perhaps this seems like the story of Pilate, or Herod, or the religious leaders, or even the mob mentality. What we need to see is the sovereign hand of God running throughout this entire passage. We can thank God that He followed through and accomplished all his purposes.
